I recently had a frustrating issue with my Prius—the factory head unit kept malfunctioning, freezing, and shutting off randomly. It was driving me nuts, so I tried the cheap route first: I bought an aftermarket unit from an overseas seller and attempted a DIY install. Big mistake. Despite watching YouTube tutorials and reaching out to the company, nothing went smoothly. The new unit caused all sorts of chaos—gauges lighting up with warning lights, hybrid system errors, and other glitches. By 3 a.m., I gave up, swapped the OEM unit back in, and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, the cheap head unit had messed with my car's computer, leaving me with persistent gauge and hybrid warnings even after reinstalling the original stereo. After visits to my regular mechanic and then the Toyota dealership (neither could fully resolve the electrical gremlins), I knew I needed professional help. That's when I found this fantastic local car stereo shop and met Angel. From the moment I walked in, Angel was patient, honest, and thorough. He took the time to diagnose everything wire by wire, confirmed that the cheap aftermarket unit was defective and had caused the issues, and gave me straight talk

Carpio Audio is hands down the best location for ANY of your car needs! (Audio, Alarms, Lights, GPS, etc) My personal experience: (please read below for a few highlights!) I have had the privilege of working with Angel for many years and it has been a true privilege to have had his services throughout the years. (See photos below for most recent upgrade done by Angel!) He is honest, an expert in his craft, and not to mention his amazing work ethic and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN work. He has always been extremely transparent and his strong attention to detail in addition to his overall extensive knowledge of all his processes have been a great pleasure to work with! I was looking for a car audio shop open on Sunday and Angel is the guy to come to! He showed me the dash camera options he has very helpful and informative made sure to explain everything! Even had his fridge stocked up cold water and soda for customers! I love the service the way he treats every customer! I definitely recommend this audio shop for dash cameras and the best audio system’s nicely wired he’s an expert in this!

I recently returned to Carpio Audio for the fourth time for additional work, and once again, Angel delivered exceptional service. After previously installing Compustar alarm systems on two of my vehicles—and upgrading my head unit and replacing all stock speakers—I came back to have a dashcam added to complement my alarm setup. As always, Angel’s professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail were top-tier. He answered every question thoroughly and made sure I understood the process and features before moving forward. The installation was clean, efficient, and done with the same level of care I’ve come to expect from his work. The customer experience at Carpio Audio continues to stand out as well. The waiting area is spotless, comfortable, and stocked with free beverages and snacks, and even the shop and restroom are well-maintained—small details that show how much pride they take in their business. Overall, another outstanding experience. Angel’s consistency, expertise, and genuine commitment to customer satisfaction are why I keep coming back.
